Privacy Notice

Last updated: 2026-10-14

TwinClassroom is a tool for teachers running pre-school eTwinning projects. This notice explains, under GDPR and Turkish data protection law (KVKK), which data we process, which we deliberately do not, and what your rights are.

Data we collect

  • Teacher account: full name, e-mail address, school name, country, subject and interface language.
  • Project data: project name, weeks, tasks, the submission texts teachers write themselves, TwinSpace and external links.
  • Evidence files: images and documents of children’s work. On upload the teacher confirms that no child’s face or name is visible and that family consents were checked.
  • Evaluation data: class-level counts only (for example “12 children chose the smiling face”) and anonymous family form responses.
  • Class size: the number of children is stored as a number.

Data we deliberately do not collect

  • Children’s names, surnames, numbers or any identifying information. No table holds one row per child.
  • Photographs showing children’s faces, and audio recordings.
  • Families’ names, e-mail addresses, phone numbers or device information. The family form is fully anonymous; we cannot tell who filled it in.
  • Passwords of TwinSpace pupil accounts. These must never be typed into the application.

Where and how long data is stored

  • Data is stored on Supabase infrastructure inside the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany).
  • Project data is kept after the project closes, for archival purposes; the founder can download all project data as JSON.
  • If you ask for your account to be deleted, your profile, submissions and uploaded files are deleted.

Who can see what

  • A teacher sees only the projects they belong to and only their own submissions; they cannot see another teacher’s submissions.
  • The project founder can read the submissions and evidence of teachers in their own project, but cannot change them.
  • A self-assessment is visible only to the teacher who made it; nobody else can see it, not even the project founder.
  • Family form responses are visible only to the teacher who created the form and to the project founder, and only as aggregate counts.

Your rights

  • You have the right to learn which of your data is processed, to ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and to object to processing.
  • You can export your data in a machine-readable format (JSON).
  • For any request: {İLETİŞİM E-POSTASI}

  • Only the cookies needed to keep you signed in are used. There are no advertising or tracking cookies and no third-party analytics.
